Above we see 'Big Bad Bobby' Borisov (right) leading off his mercenary crew. They are from the left Yul, Helmut Cole, Rab and Lucian.  They have been hired by The Organisation, a mysterious er, organisation whose motives are unclear but definitely sinister, to recover an article of pre-war tech which has been documented to be in a partly-ruined area of south Neasden. This is part of the territory of the Gray Street Posse, a poor quality gang of lowlifes whose main claim to fame is their regrettable facial hair.

The stats are:
'Big Bad Bobby' Borisov     Q3+ C2 SMG Leader 68
Helmut Cole                         Q3+ C2 Pistol, Steadfast, Gunsmith 44
Yul                                          Q3+ C2 Laser gun, Pistol 52
Lucian                                    Q3+ C2 SMG 52
Rab                                        Q3+ C2 Assault rifle, Pistol, Frag grenade 62

Phil                                        Q3+ C2 SMG, Pistol, Sharpshooter, Leader 86
Chuck                                    Q3+ C2 Shotgun, Pistol 46
Steve                                     Q3+ C2 Shotgun, Pistol 46
Brucey                                  Q3+ C2 Shotgun, Pistol 46
Robin                                    Q3+ C2 Pistol 34

The ante-bellum McGuffin is located in the area below.
Picture
Below is the situation soon after the start.  The mercs cautiously ease into the building on the left from where they hope to command two of the item's possible hiding places (the round bases). The Gray Street Posse, led by their boss Phil, appear to have stolen a march and are piling into the ruin in the foreground.
Picture
Below: With some vigorous pointing Phil urges his men to have a look at the mystery items.  Chuck nips out to the one on the right, has a poke about, and finds nothing. Brucey dashes out to the one in the middle of the picture and from the corner of his eye spies Lucian sneaking out to the third site.  Robin and Steve have meantime taken cover in the ruin on the left.
Picture
Below: Brucey checks the second cache. Nothing! He dashes forward and takes cover behind the girder.  Steve pops out and from behind the barrier opens up on Lucian. It's extreme range but the air is full of shotgun pellets and Lucian wisely ducks back. As this has been going on Helmut has been sneaking from cover to cover and can be seen at centre top; Yul has taken up a good firing position and warmed up the laser  (about 2 o'clock in the picture - you can just see the gun).
Picture
Below: Helmut runs across to lend Yul a hand. Yul doesn't need it; he leans out and lases Brucey dead.  Robin has a rush of blood to the head and waving his pistols dashes round behind the bunker hoping to outflank the mercs.
Picture
Below: It's all happening here.  Robin runs round the corner of the bunker, right into Lucian, and fires wildly and inaccurately. Yul moves up to cover the third cache and Helmut boldly runs out to have a look at it. Phil does some more angry pointing, as if the rest of the gang didn't see what was going wrong.
Picture
Below: Helmut finds a bag full of loot and runs off into cover with it. Yul covers the retreat. Unsurprisingly Lucian machineguns Robin dead at close range and makes off. Borisov radioes home that it's mission accomplished and also heads for home. Chuck, who'd been working his way forward, jumps dramatically out from behind a wall, shotgun levelled, but there's nobody there. Phil does some more pointing, in an "I'll get you back!" style. One in the eye for the Gray Street Posse.

New Neasden News - March 2034
There is turmoil in South Central as a band of bikers from Uptown make their presence felt in territory acknowledged to be Gray Street Posse turf. For several days there have been sightings of members of the Chequers cautiously crossing into neutral Riverside.  This is assumed to be the Chequers paying off old scores against the Posse by lending a hand to the Bikers. The Gray Street Posse appear to be taking heed and have summoned enforcers from the West End to bolster the defences of South Central.

Speaking from City Hall police chief Radimirsky announced that abandoned police stations in Riverside have been reoccupied by officers from Downtown. There is speculation that the enfeebled police force is taking advantage of the Biker - Gray Street hostilities to bring more of the city under their control.

In South Central the Bikers set out to drive the Posse out.
Bikers
Cecil     Q3+ C2 SMG, Pistol, Leader 88 pts.
Buck     Q3+ C2 Assault rifle, Pistol, Frag grenade 62 pts.
Clyde     Q3+ C2 Flamethrower, Pistol 48 pts.
Monty     Q3+ C2 SMG, Pistol, Frag grenade 58 pts.

Chequers
Meg     Q3+ C2 SMG 38 pts.
Tilly     Q3+ C2 Assault rifle, Pistol, Sharpshooter 60 pts.

Gray Street Posse
Phil                    Q3+ C2 SMG, Pistol, Leader 88 pts.
Jack the Hat     Q3+ C2 Shotgun, Pistol 46 pts.
Ronson             Q3+ C2 Shotgun, Pistol 46 pts.
Vince                 Q3+ C2 Shotgun, Pistol 46 pts.
Skinny Pete      Q3+ C2 Pistol 34 pts.
Lily                     Q3+ C2 SMG 38 pts.

The Gray Street Posse had had warning of the impending attack and had set a trap for the bikers. However what the Posse the had not realised was that a couple of Chequers, keen to avenge an old insult, were also involved and were travelling separately. Below we see the bikers making their way carelessly across a junction and the Posse preparing to jump them.  At the bottom of the picture Meg and Tilly of the Chequers are preparing to ambush the Posse's ambush party.

Picture
The pre-emptive strike on the ambushers went much better than the revenge-hungry Chequers could have hoped. Tilly rested her rifle on the wall, breathed out, took careful aim and fired. (Three successes; Sharpshooter; aimed shot; a roll of 6.) Down went Skinny Pete (gruesome kill). Vince, shocked and spattered with his pal's brains, fled off into the ruins. (Below.)
Picture
Phil rallied his remaining Posse members with some aggressive pointing and they laid down a hail of fire on the Chequers. Both the ambushers dived for cover and cowered .Meanwhile Lily and Jack the Hat had come across from their now-redundant ambush position to join the fun. (Below.)
Picture
Phil, seeing the lack of fire from the Chequers, screwed up his courage and boldly dashed across to the ruin they occupied. Seeing both thoroughly suppressed he bravely machine-gunned them as they lay helpless. Jack the Hat arrived just too late to join in. The bikers had meantime been gathering their strength at the adjacent ruined building. Rounding a corner they found Ronson there and opened up on him with all they had. Ronson, dashing and skipping and gibbering with fear, effected a miraculous escape pursued by fire from assault rifle, flame-thrower and SMG and joined Phil, Lily and Jack the Hat in the ruined building. (Below.)
Picture
Below: The bikers then moved up and prepared to assault the Posse's position supervised from a safe distance by Cecil.
Picture
The bikers had reckoned without Lily who dashed out from cover and enthusiastically sprayed them with SMG fire. Buck was shot dead and Monty scuttled for cover. Lily then nipped back into cover before the bikers could recover. Cecil came up and shoved and cuffed them back into action; in a crowd they rushed the gap in the wall. (Below.)
Picture
Clyde brought his flame-thrower to the party and incinerated Ronson & Jack the Hat. Seeing this Phil and Lil remembered that it's
sometime better to fight another day and ran for it, Phil indicating the direction in which safety lay. (Below.)

Situation at the end of March. The Bikers have taken South Central, and the police restored order to Riverside.
