This was only our second game with the new 3.0 version of DBA and overall impressions are very favourable. I also won, which was nice.
The sides were:
Il-Khanids: 2 x Cv, 9 x LH, 1 x 3Ax
Mongols: 3 x Cv, 9 x LH
Despite the preponderance of light horse there was nothing subtle. The close-to-the-middle set-up we both adopted meant that very quickly there was contact between the main bodies. That's one difference from earlier revisions.
The heavy cavalry (Cv) which was able to beat light horse before is now equally matched by LH in two ranks - another difference.
The choice of push-back distance - a base depth or a base width - was employed at different stages for one reason or another. I can't remember the details but that was a third difference and had some significance.
