The party also has three Advances, each of which can be used once per session: Retain the Initiative, Tough as Nails, Dungeoneer.
ABOVE: Tegaram opens the first door in the palace and sees a large number of skeletons waiting.
ABOVE: Teragram steps smartly aside to allow the barbarians, Wetham first as always, to charge in.
ABOVE: Nurmi and Wetham pile into the skeletons and are sorely beset.
ABOVE: Outnumbered and surrounded Wetham goes down. The arrival of Athelstan saves Nurmi from the same fate.
The skeletons are eventually all disposed of. While the others grieve over Wetham Tegaram opens the chest and finds a shirt of very fine mail.
The skeletons are eventually all disposed of. While the others grieve over Wetham Tegaram opens the chest and finds a shirt of very fine mail.
ABOVE: Teragram sets off alone to explore the corridor. She takes the opportunity to slip on the mail shirt under her tunic. While doing this she is set upon by two ghosts; she despatches one and runs, and Athelstan arrives to dispel the other.
ABOVE: Opening the next door Teragram receives another unpleasant surprise and runs for it.
ABOVE: Three mummies lumber after Teragram. One fights to and fro through a door with Aushog, who eventually defeats him. The other two are beaten by Nurmi and Athelstan after a long melee.
ABOVE: Moving on through the palace the adventurers reach another room. Again Teragram opens it as the others prepare for action, and she sees . . . more skeletons, but this time with an obvious leader amongst them.

ABOVE: There's going to be a nasty incident.
ABOVE: Covidius sends a couple of his minions through the door first then follows, casting an ineffective Transfix on Aushog.
ABOVE: Covidius then double-fails (rolling 3 dice and having Hero). J'neb knocks him to the ground. Before he can rise Zou Kov decapitates him from behind.
Both ignominious and anticlimactic - impressive. The other skeletons crumble to dust.
